The intelligent vehicle dryer for wash tunnels

With SMART-DRY, it is possible to reduce the power consumption of the dryer with the use of frequency converters and intelligent actuation of the fan motors by up to 30%, and all this with consistently good drying results!

1. Adjustment of the fan output to the vehicle contour
Not all areas of the vehicle require the same drying power. As such, the fan output is reduced when drying the surfaces in the front and roof area of the vehicle - which dry easily. The maximum fan output is only used in critical areas, such as the vehicle rear.

2. Reduced start-up currents
Frequently switching the fan motors on and off significantly increases the power consumption. The SMART-DRY technology and the use of frequency converters facilitate a reduction in the motor start-up currents of up to 80%.

3. Adjustment of the fan speed to the conveyor speed
With the SMART DRY option, the conveyor speed is also automatically adjusted to the fan output of the dryer. With an increase in the conveyor speed / washing capacity, the fan output is independently increased up to the maximum fan output whilst, with a slower speed, the necessary output can be reduced to an optimum degree.

The reduction in the energy consumption is a further step towards meeting the targets of the Christ Greenline Strategy.
